Ruff Ryders is a family owned business that
was established in 1988 by three siblings
which consisted of two brothers and one
sister; Darrin (“D”), Joaquin (“WAAH”), and
Chivon Dean. Their mission was to use their
strong family values to build a record label that
incorporated not only music for the urban
community to relate to but a COMPLETE
lifestyle that reaches out to the public in a
more personal manner.
With their first multi-platinum artist DMX
leading the way, Ruff Ryders built a reputation
on having great music and incredible videos
that featured motorcycle stunt artists
performing some of the sickest stunts possible
on local streets for the public to view. These
stunt artists were members of Ruff Ryders’ motorcycle club;
